Needlework Competitions at the Atherton Show
With classes covering everything from embroidery and quilting to wearable art and junior entries, there’s a place for everyone — from beginners to experienced makers. Showcase your hard work and be in the running for fantastic prizes and prestigious ribbons.
Whether you’re a master stitcher or just beginning, your handiwork has a place here. Help us celebrate the vibrant talents of our community – one thread at a time.
Conditions of Entry
- Refer to General Show Rules & Conditions of Entry.
- All entries must be the original work of the exhibitor.
- Items must be clean, undamaged, and not previously entered in the Atherton Show.
- No item may be entered in more than one class.
- Class Cards must be pinned securely and visibly (no staples).
- Items may be moved to the correct class at the stewards’ discretion.
- Novice = Up to 2 years experience; Open = Over 2 years experience; Seniors = 70+ years of age.
- All items entered must be delivered for judging; notify stewards of any entry not being presented.
