Arena Location: Poultry Pavilion (Entry via Roberts Street Gate)

Arrival Time: Birds must be penned by 8:30am on Monday (Day 1).
Judging starts promptly at 9:30am. -
Cages & Pens: Pens will be supplied by the Show Society.
Exhibitors must bring their own water and feed containers.
Birds must remain in their allocated pens until the conclusion of Day 2 unless otherwise approved by stewards.

Poultry Competitions at the Atherton Show
Cluck yeah! The Poultry Pavilion is back and bursting with feathers, flair, and fine fowls! Whether you’re a seasoned breeder or a young enthusiast showing for the first time, the Atherton Show poultry section is the place to be.
Competition Overview
From beautiful bantams to handsome hens and champion chooks, the Poultry Competition celebrates the finest feathered entrants across a wide range of breeds. It’s a long-standing favourite at the Show, and a fantastic chance to display the care, health and quality of your birds.
Divisions Include:
- Standard and Bantam Breeds
- Junior Section for exhibitors under 16 years
All entries will be judged according to breed standards and condition. Ribbons, trophies, and prizes are up for grabs!
Junior Exhibitors
We love seeing our future poultry champions take the spotlight!
The Junior Section is open to exhibitors under 16 and includes special classes to help younger competitors build confidence and experience in the ring.
Whether it’s your first time or you’re back to defend your title, we welcome all junior entries with open wings!
Entry Information
- All entrants must complete the Poultry Entry Form prior to the closing date.
- Exhibitors must supply their own feed and water containers.
- Birds must be penned by 8:30am on Show Day 1.
- Judging will take place from 9:30am sharp.
- No birds may be removed from pens before the end of Day 2 without permission.
All entries must be healthy and well cared for. Unwell or parasite-infected birds will not be allowed to compete or remain on the grounds.
